As we transition through seasons here at The Kroc Center there tend to be a few changes to hours, programming, availability and more. We will always offer our seasonal program guide to the public, but sometimes there are a few extra things that are going on that don't tend to make it in the guide. Check back here as we transition through seasons to learn about some additional information that is helpful to your member experience.

Spring Has Sprung!

The snow may still be falling and portions of The Kroc may still be under construction, but we are here to jumpstart your spring with a plethora programming events and activities including Easter Ministry and other programming!

We have a full slate of our annual 3rd Grade Swim programming. This program assists area youth with water safety and general swimming techniques and skills. 3rd Grade Swim is designed to provide a comfortable learning environment for third graders and give them an opportunity to engage in water activities without fear.

The 3rd Grade Swim program is a unique partnership between The Salvation Army Kroc Center and North Idaho schools that allows students the opportunity to receive instruction in water safety and learn basic swimming skills.

Swimming is more than a recreational skill, it’s a lifelong skill that can save lives. Idaho has one of the highest drowning rates in the nation which is why The Kroc Center believes it is vitally important that we provide this opportunity to all grade school students in our North Idaho area.

3rd Grade Swim: April 10 – June 9. The Cove Pool will be closed to the public during large portions of the week.

Party Room Renovation!

The Kroc Center is excited to announce that Silver Creek Construction is renovating the two Kroc Center party rooms located across from the customer service desk. Renovation will convert the two small party rooms in to one large multipurpose space hosting an art studio, birthday parties, Camp Kroc, and rentals. The new space* will provide storage, streamlining the workload of the maintenance and operations team.

The Kroc Center is also offering a sponsor opportunity for this remodel. The sponsor’s name will be prominently displayed in the lobby next to the room. If you know a business, family or individual who may be interested in learning more about this sponsorship opportunity, please contact Amy Voeller, The Coeur d’Alene Kroc Center Director of Development, at 208-763-0592.

*Note: Funds for the renovation of the party rooms were provided by The Kroc Center Endowment, not membership fees.

The Kroc Center will host our annual Nail Your Pain to the Cross Good Friday service on April 7. Join us this Good Friday and physically nail your written prayer requests, pain, and or other burdens to the cross.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30

Happy New Year!

We hope that you've been able to enjoy your holiday season filled with lots of joy, time with loved ones and a bunch of Christmas cookies! It's been a busy few weeks lately with the cold temps and school breaks happening, but we are ready to roll right into the Winter Season here at The Kroc!

We've got some exciting new offerings this season in aquatics you're going to want to hear about. Parent/Child Swim & All Ages Cove Swim!

Parent/Child Swim will be happening on Fridays from 4–5pm and it will follow the same rules as Toddler Swim, but with a wider age range, 6 months–11 years!
The rules during this time are very simple, adults must remain within arms reach of their children when they venture out past the splash play area. As with toddler time, the slide will not be used during this time.

All Ages Cove Swim will run six days a week and is a time where families can bring their kiddos in to swim in The Cove Pool! We will not have the slide open during this programmed time but will have the entire pool open for all ages. However, there are age guidelines that we ask that you follow, please read them below to understand what is expected when you come in.
• Ages 0–6: Parents must be within arms reach of child
• Ages 7–14: Parents must be on the deck when child is in the water

In addition, The Cove Pool will no longer close at Noon Monday & Tuesday! This means more Open River & Lap as well as Indoor Hot Tub time for you!
The Cove Pool will continue to close from 3–4pm, Monday–Friday.
