Staff & Safety

It takes a special person to be a counselor for our campers (your kids). Camp Counselors must be energetic, enthusiastic, fun—but also trained to respond quickly and efficiently in any situation. Your child’s safety is our number one priority.

Risk Management Policies

  • All camp staff members will receive First Aid and CPR certification from The American Red Cross.
  • Staff are trained for risk management procedures at each camp location.
  • There will be a 1:10 counselor to child ratio at minimum, at all times. The names of the campers will be kept on staff at all times and “head counts” will be taken between each activity.
  • We prioritize water safety. Certified Kroc lifeguards will be present during all swim times at The Kroc Center.
  • A first aid kit and a list of medications and allergies will be on camp staff at all times. Parental emergency contact information will remain on staff no matter the activity. The Camp Coordinator will remain in open communication with camp staff.
  • When taking a field trip, the vehicle will be operated by either a camp counselor with The Salvation Army Decisive Driving Certification or a licensed local transportation company.
  • Kroc Lifeguards will not be present during open water swim activities off site for camps including ages 10–14.

What to Bring

Everyday your camper will need to bring the following with them to make sure they have the best time ever! Please label your child’s name on each item.

  • Swimsuit and towel
  • Water bottle
  • Closed toed shoes
  • Clothing that is comfortable, weather appropriate, and okay to get dirty.
  • If your child has special dietary needs and is unable to eat the lunch/snacks provided, please pack a lunch and two snacks each day.
  • Personal phones may be left in campers’ backpacks, but are not to be used during camp.

Please DO NOT bring the following items:

  • Toys, games, fidget items. We have tons of games and activities planned, so you don’t have to bring your own fun!

Daily Meals

Fueling the mind, body, and soul. We offer fresh nutritious food so your child has the energy to learn and play all day long. Full day camps include a lunch and snacks. Half-day camps include snacks.

If your child has special dietary needs that make them unable to eat the lunch/snacks provided, please pack them a lunch and two snacks each day.

Thank you to the following organizations for providing camp meals this summer!
McDonalds • Monday Mornings Cafe • WyldLife

Christian Values
Camps feature Christian values and fun Bible lessons led by The Kroc ministry team! They are designed to incorporate positive Christian values that your child can use in their daily lives, such as kindness and gratitude.
