About the Program
Every year, as a way to partner with families in our community The Salvation Army Kroc Center’s Operation Clothe a Child program takes more
than 70 local elementary students on a special shopping spree for fall & winter clothing. This program is made possible by generous donations from the community.
How the Event Works
• Parents and Guardians will drop their student off at The Salvation Army Kroc Center on their shopping day.
• The students will start off with meal and then be transported to Target where volunteers will help the students spend $150 on brand new clothing of their choice—including coats, pants, shirts or whatever is needed the most.
• The goal is not only to outfit kids with cold weather attire but to also give them an opportunity to have fun, make new friends, and express their own personal style.
• Parents/guardians will pick up their child/children at Target when shopping is complete.
Register your Child
By clicking on the button below you will be taken to our online application process. Once finished, we will assess the applications and inform you if you are accepted. Space is limited & registering does not guarantee a shopping spree.

Volunteer to Shop with a Child
Every year, over 200 community members volunteer their time to help with Clothe a Child. Volunteers are paired with a child and help guide them through the shopping event. It will be an experience that you'll never forget!
