Ways to Give

Select from the tiles below which outreach you want your donation to support. All donations stay in Kootenai County.

Mental Health Services

Like tossing a pebble in a pond, The Kroc Center is creating ripples through the community with the impact of its mental wellness services.

In 2023, The Kroc Center hired a licensed counselor to lead the effort to address the community's mental wellness needs. Through innovative programming and generous donor support, this effort is giving individuals, youth, and families in the community the necessary tools to have positive interactions at their own dinner tables and in their classrooms and throughout extended communities.

3rd Grade Swim Drowning Prevention

Help keep our kids safe! Third grade students receive five days of water safety and swim lessons with caring, certified instructors.

There's two ways to donate!

The Avista Foundation generously set up an Endowment where they will match donations up to $36,000! Donations to the endowment must be made through the Innovia Foundation.

Donate to the Endowment

Donate to this year's program alone. Donations here go directly to The Kroc Center and are not added to the endowment.

The Greatest Need

General Kroc Center Donation

Be a lifeline to neighbors in crisis. Whether they need help keeping their lights and heat on or accessing a safe place to belong and grow, donated funds make sure basic needs are met for struggling individuals and families.

All donations given to the general fund will be used to meet the greatest need in our community throughout the year.

More Than a Theatre

The Kroc Center is committed to supporting our performing arts community. Through financial support from Kroc donors, we can provide affordable rental rates for nonprofit performing arts organizations, keeping the art of theatre accessible in Coeur d’Alene.

Be part of the effort to help youth and adults have affordable access to the performing arts. Help The Kroc continue to offer our high quality stage at an affordable cost for everyone in our community.

Membership For All - The Kroc Scholarship Fund

No one in need is turned away from the life-changing opportunities at The Kroc Center. Annually helping single parents, foster families, veterans and other neighbors, this is by far The Kroc Center's single largest outreach effort.

Families Feeding Families Food Drive

Do you remember a time when someone helped you? Helped you pay a late bill, served you a hot meal, or even paid it forward in the grocery line? There are so many of our neighbors who are in need of our help today. Families Feeding Families is your chance to help a person, family, or veteran enduring homelessness to have a meal and to be seen within their community.

Memorial and Celebration Gifts

Memorial and Celebration Gifts are a touching way to honor loved ones who have passed away. Oftentimes family members request donations to be made to a certain charitable fund or nonprofit instead of flowers at their loved one's funeral. Click below to set up a memorial gift today.

Donate Used Goods

The Kroc Center cannot accept donations of used clothing, furniture or household goods like a traditional Salvation Army Corps location as we do not have a thrift store. Therefore we recommend these local organizations that do take donations of household items:

Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store
7761 N Government Wy, Coeur d'Alene, ID
(208) 664-2338

St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store
108 E Walnut Ave, Coeur d'Alene, ID
(208) 416-4699

Companions Animal Center Thrift Store
916 N 3rd Street, Coeur d'Alene, ID
(208) 667-5373

People in Kootenai County are touched by The Kroc Center’s work every year.

It takes a village to come together and create long-lasting impact. Thank you to these community-minded organizations, individuals, grantors, and donors who chose to impact their community by giving to The Kroc Center in 2023.

"I wanted to acknowledge the amazing blessing it was for my son to participate in Clothe a Child. We mostly do alright, but things get tight often. It’s things like this that remind me that God is our provider and He is so faithful. My son was so happy and his face lit up when he showed me the clothing that he had chosen. Thank you, thank you, it means SO much."

– One of 200+ grateful moms, dads and grandparents whose children received $150 worth of new winter gear.
