A Look into Kroc Homeschool: Advanced Elements of Art
Our Homeschool Art: Advanced Elements of Art class for ages 10–14 had an exciting lesson this month! These kiddos learned how to create an art piece using three-dimensional texture through embossing metal.
Local artist Christina Hull taught these kids the history of embossing and how embossing metal has been around for thousands of years. This method of craft has been used by many different countries to create a variety of items from decorations to armor. Our Homeschool Students embossed 36 gauge aluminum using wooden tools to press designs into the material and color the designs with sharpie, creating some amazing and unique pieces of art!
