Community Center Policies

Family Membership Definition

One or two adults living in a household and dependents who are eligible up to the age of 19. An individual with a disability or an elderly parent who is financially dependent on and is living in the same household with the primary member will remain eligible for the Family membership. Verification of family status and residency may be required. For example: tax return, utility bill, health insurance, etc.

Monthly Payments/
One-time Annual Payment

Membership fees can be paid monthly via recurring credit card charge or electronic funds transfer (bank account debit). Pro-rated fees will be due at time of enrollment and may vary depending upon enrollment date. To complete the electronic funds transfer process, a voided check must be provided with completed membership form. Membership fees for the following month will be automatically deducted from the member bank account around the 20th of the current month. Any requested changes must be submitted by the 10th of the month in order to be processed for the following month.

Annual payments may be paid in full by cash, check, major credit/debit card. Fees are equivalent to 12 monthly payments. The annual fee and required registration fee are due at time of enrollment.

Membership Cancellations

Membership fees are nonrefundable. In order to cancel a membership, members must submit a written request by the 10th day of the current month to cancel the automatic payment for the following month. If a member cancels or if membership payments lapse for more than 30 days, the appropriate registration fee will be charged to reopen the membership account. There is no fee charged for cancellation.

Membership Changes

Any requested change that affects the billing of your membership must be submitted by the 10th of the month to be processed for the following month. If changes occur after the 10th of the month, please see the front desk for pro-rated amount. Membership downgrades, additions, and removal of family members are subject to a $10 change fee. Changes will take effect immediately.

Insufficient Funds Policy

There is a $20 charge for each insufficient funds transaction. This places your membership on hold until payment is received. Payments received after a plan has expired will be charged an additional $5 reinstatement fee.

Equipment

Free use of athletic equipment including volleyballs & basketballs. Available in the Gym.

Group/Personal Coach Policy

Public drop-in access is intended for inclusive recreational use. Any external personal or group use/training/coaching should contact the rental department for specific group requests.

Personal Group/Individual Coaching & Program Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of a one-on-one session or any personal or group coaching session requires 24 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of any monies paid.

Cove Pool Rules

Please shower to remove any lotions, makeup or perfumes prior to entering the pool.

Children ages 3 years and younger or children who are not toilet trained MUST wear a swim diaper along with plastic pants with full elastic legs and waist.

Children ages 3 months to 6 years must be within an adult’s (15 years or older) reach at all times.

Children 7-10 years old must be directly supervised by and adult or member (15 years and older) in the water or at poolside.

Appropriate swim attire i.e. swimsuit, swim trunks, is required in the pool. Appropriate covering garments that do not interfere with safety in the water are allowed. No cotton garments or street clothes allowed in pools.

Food and gum are prohibited in the pool and on the deck.

Drinks other then clear liquids are prohibited. Drinks must be in a closed container. No glass or breakable containers in the pool or on deck.

Diving is prohibited. Swimmers should use a feet-first entry into the pool.

Jumping into the Lazy River is not allowed – Sit down and slide in.

Flotation devices (unless secured to the body), snorkels and fins are prohibited in the pool

Foul or abusive language will not be tolerated.

Persons with open cuts, sores, or communicable diseases are not permitted in the pool.

Anyone with a medical condition such as seizures, hear, or circulatory problem must notify a lifeguard prior to entering the pool.

Patrons should not engage in unnecessary conversation with lifeguards.

Running and horseplay is prohibited.

Lifeguards may stop any activity that may cause harm or conflict. Persons refusing to obey rules may be asked to leave the facility.

Use by anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited.

Public drop in access is intended for inclusive recreation/fitness use; any personal or group training/coaching/therapy is prohibited. Contact the Aquatics Departments for personal or group requests.

All emergency procedures must be observed. This includes leaving the pool and/or pool deck.

Pool may close at any time for contamination removal.

This is a fitness pool. Anyone engagin in a non-fitness activity may be asked to leave the pool.

Lockers

Lockers are available at no charge. Guests are responsible for supplying their own lock and clearing locker after each use. The Salvation Army is not liable for lost or stolen property. Lockers must be cleared nightly. Locks will be removed by Kroc personnel once center is closed.

Financial Assistance/Scholarship Program

Individuals, families, and seniors who cannot afford Kroc Center membership or fees for youth camps and/or group classes can apply for a discount. Eligibility for this program is based on income level. Scholarship applications are available online or at the information desk.

Nursing Policy

The Salvation Army Kroc Center is a place for families and welcomes nursing moms. Couches are provided in the ladies lounge adjacent to the East wing restrooms along with a diaper changing station. Moms are permitted to nurse in all common areas but are asked to be discreet out of consideration for Kroc guests of all ages and backgrounds.

Service Animal Policy

We love all furry companions, however, for security and health reasons, only animals who remain on the floor at all times and under full control are allowed. A service animal is a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. Sorry, pets and comfort animals are not permitted.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards are available for purchase at the front desk and can be used by recipient to pay for memberships, class and program fees, facility rentals, merchandise, and cafe items. They cannot be used for class materials, theater & performance tickets, vendor events or non-Kroc sponsored events. Gift cards must be used within two years of purchase date, and are nonrefundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Class and Program Cancellations

Full payment is expected at the time of enrollment. No refunds are given unless the program is cancelled by The Kroc Center. The Kroc Center will determine if a class needs to be cancelled due to low enrollment 48 hours prior to the start of class. If the program is cancelled by The Kroc Center, you will be given the choice of a full credit or a refund. If you request to cancel your class enrollment five or more days prior to the first class, you will receive a full credit on a Kroc Center gift card minus a $5 processing fee or you may choose to transfer to another session if available. Requests made less than five days prior to the start date are not eligible for a refund or credit, except in the case of personal emergencies. No credits or pro-rated credits will be issued for missed days of camp or class due to illness, partial attendance, behavior issues, or any other reason.

Day Pass Policy

Anyone purchasing a day pass will be required to show photo ID (ages 18+). The Kroc Center may use this information to consult public sources to help determine whether a guest may pose unreasonable harm to our patrons, staff or visitors. Your safety is important to us. By showing your photo ID at the front desk, you help The Kroc Center to provide a quality, state-of-the-art, facility where individuals and families can work, play and grow together in a safe and nurturing environment. Thank you for your cooperation with this policy.

Gym Rules

Children 10 years of age and younger must have direct supervision (15 years and older) unless child is involved in an age appropriate class or program.

Appropriate and modest athletic attire and closed toed shoes must be worn.

Courtesy to others, respect for equipment, and appropriate language is expected. Use of foul language will be grounds for removal of the gym and Kroc Center.

No hanging on rims and nets.

During open gym times, games may be played at the gym attendant’s discretion. Activities deemed unsafe in a gymnasium environment are prohibited.

Scheduled Kroc Centered programs take priority over open use recreation.

Absolutely no food or drink on the courts.

Member and Day Pass user drop-in access is intended for inclusive recreational use.

Formal, organized, and external personal or group training/coaching is prohibited and will be stopped if observed. Please contact the rental department for specific group requests.

    A college student enrolled in 12 or more credits. Academic proof including class schedule and student ID will be required annually.
