Red Kettle Heroes of 2023

It takes a village to fully staff this fundraising opportunity!

Thank you, Kootenai County, for your generosity to help The Kroc Center meet our Red Kettle goal. You volunteered hundreds of hours and donated $245,063, all of which will be invested back into our local community through programs like mental health services for youth and families, clothes for children, critical water safety lessons for third graders, and so much more.

How are Red Kettle Donations Used?

The Ray and Joan Kroc Endowment and Kroc membership fees cover all facility operating expenses, which means 100% of donations are fully allocated to local community programming and invested back into our community. Without support from the community, these outreach programs would not happen and would leave significant community needs unmet.

Your donations make an impact through:

  • Youth and family mental health services, bringing accessible help to meet a critical growing need in our community.
  • Community partnerships, including St. Vincent DePaul, school districts, and local churches, allowing donations to be maximized throughout the county.
  • Outfitting children with warm winter clothes for families in need through our Clothe a Child: Partnering with Parents program.
  • Membership Scholarships, allowing The Center to be accessible to everyone.
  • Stocking shelves of local food banks through the Families Feeding Families program.
  • Teaching local third graders important water and swim safety (including homeschooled children) through the 3rd Grade Swim program, transportation provided when needed.
  • Providing free, healthy snacks to area schools to ensure students always have access to nutritious food throughout the school year.
  • Providing structured recess support at Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, and Sandpoint elementary schools through the Mobile Kroc program that bring positive role model interactions to kids.
