The Salvation Army Kroc Center annually impacts 1 in 3 people in Kootenai County.
The Salvation Army Kroc Center relies on the money raised in the Red Kettles–in coins, dollars and credit card gifts–to help our neighbors in need in Kootenai County at Christmas and throughout the year.
From its humble beginnings as a local San Francisco fundraiser featuring a single crab pot in 1891, the Red Kettle Campaign has become The Salvation Army's signature fundraising event. Each year, more than 800 individuals, families, and businesses volunteer throughout the county from Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve to ring bells and collect spare change from holiday shoppers.
