Your Safety is Our Priority

The Kroc Center will be following all local & state guidelines as it comes to the COVID-19 virus. Below are some of the steps we are taking within our facility to help keep our members, guests and staff safe.

COVID Safety Guidelines

Designed for Social Distance: All areas inside The Kroc have been redesigned, where possible, to assist with social distancing between members and staff.

Stay Home if You’re Sick: Members should stay home if they don’t feel well. The CDC and state public health officials encourage seniors and members of vulnerable populations, including those with underlying health conditions, to stay at home. If you answer yes to any of the following you should stay home:
• Do you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills or sneezing?
• Have you had any contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

Masks: Please wear a mask in, out, and through The Center.

Self-Scan: Members will be asked to self-scan to allow for limited contact entry. Please bring your membership card or barcode to avoid staff having to look up members and delay the entry process.

Equipment: Bring your own mat for group exercise or stretching. Bring you own basketball if you have one.

Cleaning Equipment: Continue to wipe down equipment with the provided cleaner before and after your workout.

Cabana’s: All cabanas are available. Please come dressed for your activity. Limited space will be available to use locker rooms. Lockers are available for use.

Day Passes: Not available for purchase at this time.

Classes: Classes are available for purchase.

As Kroc members, we know the most important thing to each of you is that we keep the doors to The Kroc Center open and the facility functioning in a safe and welcoming manner. That is our goal! And we know we can do it with your help.

Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, Governor Little moved Idaho back to Stage 3 safety precautions and the City of Coeur d’Alene has issued a mandate that community members wear masks when in public and not able to maintain social distancing.

We wanted to let you know that The Kroc Center is not closing and has no plans to close.

For several months we have asked Kroc members wear a mask In, Out and Through The Kroc Center, and will continue to do so.

WHAT DOES IN, OUT and THROUGH MEAN?
• Wear your mask coming into The Center and checking in at the Front Desk.
• Wear your mask to your exercise class, remove it while exercising and wear it before leaving the classroom or pool area.
• Wear your mask through The Center and while checking your children in to Play Care.
• Wear your mask while you are in line at the café or getting settled at a table. You may remove your mask to enjoy your beverage or meal.

EFFECTIVE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2020 THE KROC CENTER WILL IMPLEMENT STRATEGIES TO HONOR THE STAGE 3 REQUIREMENTS. THESE STRATEGIES INCLUDE:
• Rec Swim will be capped at 40 swimmers.
• Play Care will be capped at 40 children at any single time.
• The Zone will be capped at 50 people.
• Theater events will be limited to 50 attendees .
• The gym will be available for shoot-around basketball and each half court limited to 5 people at a time.
While shooting around, no masks are required. However, those waiting to shoot around must wear a mask, whether sitting on the bleachers or waiting on edge of court.
• Pickleball players may continue to enjoy Pickleball. Active players do not have to wear a mask while playing. However, those waiting to play, sitting in the bleachers must wear their masks.
• The Weight Room will be capped at 15 users with social distancing required.
• Group Exercise Classes (both land and water) will be capped at 18 attendees. Cycling classes will remain at 8 attendees.
• The Strength Training equipment on the west end of the fitness center will be limited to 12 users, with social distancing required. Please do not hang out and socialize while working out.

WE ASK THAT EVERYONE CONTINUE TO CARE FOR THE CENTER AND FELLOW MEMBERS & STAFF.
• Consistently wipe down free weights and equipment after using.
• Wash your hands or use sanitizer after exercising.
• Wear a mask In, Out and Through the facility.

Mike Gridley, the City Attorney, states that businesses will NOT be responsible for people wearing a mask in their business. While we are grateful to not carry the burden of this requirement, we are asking members to care for fellow members and our staff by continuing to wear their masks In, Out, Through The Kroc Center.

WHEN DO YOU NOT HAVE TO WEAR A MASK?
• If you have a diagnosed medical condition (you do not need to provide proof).
• During cardio exercising on properly spaced equipment.
• During group exercise classes. However, you are required to wear your mask into the class and put it back on immediately following your exercise session.
• Children under the age of 10 years old do not have to wear a mask.

We do not seek conflict or philosophical debate. We will not tolerate our employees being verbally abused. You will hear messaging on Kroc Radio reminding all of us of mask requirements and group ex instructors will remind you to put your mask back on immediately following your exercise sessions.

We will continue to provide operational updates as regularly as possible and when there are specific updates to share. Thank you for compliance with our efforts. Every step in the right direction helps to keep The Kroc Center open and serving the community. We continue to pray for your health and wellbeing and are grateful for your membership and community support.

Sincerely,
Kroc Center Management
