The Dr. Riggs Leadership Scholarship was created by The Salvation Army Kroc Center Executive Staff and Advisory Board to honor Jack T. Riggs, M.D. for a lifetime of leadership excellence and to acknowledge and reward a high school senior for exhibiting leadership traits and capabilities.
Candidates will submit a completed application form along with leadership essay. Deadline is Friday, March 24.
The Salvation Army Kroc Center Advisory Board will be presenting the inaugural Inspirational Community Leader Award and the Dr. Riggs Leadership Scholarship to five high school seniors.

Our featured speaker will be Kristin Armstrong, professional road racing cyclist and Team USA Olympian. Kristin started her Team USA journey as a Junior Olympian in swimming at the age of 17, and went on to win 3 U.S Olympic Gold Medals, three World Titles, and five National Championships in cycling, has completed the IRONMAN World Championship, and is the most decorated female cyclist in U.S history. She is a wife, mother and currently serves as the Community Health Director at St Luke’s Health System in Boise.
